Why Norway Doesn't Matter

Many probably notice that we don't tend to write or respond to the "news of the day" too much here at TDV.  Take, for example, the Norway massacre.

There are a number of reasons why we don't leap for the keyboard after events such as these.

The first reason is the most obvious.  Most of the mainstream media and government release of "news" is almost always wrong or at least off-base.  This was perfectly shown in the first hours of the Norway event when most media had already blamed it on muslims.

This is the first reason why we will rarely comment on events in real time - because there is no way of really knowing what is going on.  Thanks to Twitter and other social media, however, we can at least begin to piece together some sense of reality - as we did during the Vancouver riots, where Twitter was almost unequivocally my sole source.

The second reason we don't necessarily respond to events like these is this: they just don't matter.  A headline we read soon after the slaughter stated, "Norway: What This Means to the World".  I didn't even read the rest of the "story".  It doesn't mean anything.  Not in so far, anyway, as the official story.  If the official story is true (which is possible in this case) then one man out of 7 billion completely flipped out and killed 90 people, out of 7 billion.  In other words, statistically, it doesn't matter.  Don't get me wrong.  To ANYONE involved, most especially those who lost their children in this vile event, nothing was more important and nothing in the world was more horrific.  For those of us who did not have any direct personal connection, however, it just doesn't matter, statistically.  If we are going to worry about every idiot and sociopath and what they do everyday, we'll be pretty tied up.  We have enough to do just following the travails of people like Obama, Bernanke, Geithner and the rest of the sociopaths and the delusional who can directly affect our lives via our portfolios.

There is some reason to pay attention to what happened to Norway, however.  And that is if there is some sort of ulterior motive beyond the actions of one psychopath.  There seems to be a fair amount of evidence of this.  And, in fact, every time we hear of something like this the first thing we do is look at ulterior motives and government false flag events or actions of the global financial elite.

The case for a false flag here, or an action by the international bankers (the most violent gang on earth) is fairly strong.  First, there is a lot of evidence that more than one shooter was involved.  This makes rational sense, because not many psychos have the wherewithal to not only set off a large bomb but then to also travel to an island and manage to kill more than 70 people over several hours.

As well, Norway is set to pull out of the terrorist bombings of Libya by August 1.  As well, they did not participate in the criminal counterfeiting to pay-off international bankers by withholding $42 million towards the "Greek bailout".  These two things alone could have been enough to push for "regime change" by the global financial elite.

Whether this is the case or not is not for us to judge.  However, people like Alex Jones are doing an admirable job of at least trying to get to the truth rather than accept the official story like lapdogs.  For this, we rate people like Alex Jones, Max Keiser and Adam Kokesh and sources like RT  as being the "new media".  These are the Walter Kronkites of this generation.  The old media is already bought and paid for... they call people like Alex Jones "alternative", but this is no alternative.  They are, by far, the better, and really only choice if you care about the truth.

In the end, however, as libertarians and anarchists, we take note that from any perspective this is all a consequence of statism.

Psychopath? Sociopath? Stooge? Who Smiles at Death Like This?If Anders Behring Breivik was actually acting on his own and was acting because of anger that the political process in his country was doing things he didn't like, then this is a mark against statism.  Without government, Anders couldn't be so enraged.

As well, this whole issue of muslims moving into Europe is caused by statism, both in their home country and in their country of immigration.  They flee oppressive governments or wars caused by other governments, such as in Iraq and they flee to places which offer socialist welfare programs.  Again, all caused by government.

Government's, as always, will try to whip up a controversy and a new enemy in which we need the government to fight.  In this case, it is the right wing extremist.  But, again, without nation states and all their artificial, violent control over their territory, none of these issues exist.

In fact, a quick look of the news on any given day is proof positive that the nation state causes all of the major problems of today and, as things like the debt ceiling debate in the US show, all of it is nearing collapse.

Many people say that we are pessimistic and negative for being realistic about the coming implosion.  But nothing is further from the truth.  For humanity, nothing is more optimistic and exciting than shedding all of these war faring, impoverishing nation states and central banks.

The interim period, between the collapse of the system that has encompassed the globe for the last century and the rise of a new, free-market system of peace, co-operation and prosperity is the only dangerous period.  And, for those who have seen it coming - TDV subscribers and readers - and are prepared they should have good chances of not only surviving it but prospering.

For those who cling to the old and dying financial and political system, their fate will be tenuous.  As are all who cling, irrationally, to the past.

The actions of Breivik, whether real or planned by a larger group, have no real consequence in the transformation that is ongoing from a world of governments, armies, wars and central banks to one of self ownership, peace, prosperity and true freedom.

For this, Norway doesn't matter.

Hi i would like to beleive after the nation states collapse,we were going to usher in a wonderful new free world, but i doubt it.It will probably just be a case of the old order rising from the ashes, and starting all over again.Hope very much im wrong.

Uhmm...no...so sorry Jeff. I don't think the implosion is anything but planned. It is not going to free us, as you might think. It is going to set up the ultimate oligarchic coup de grace, a world currency. When THEY control all of the money everywhere, THEN they have REAL control. It won't matter if they are just printing their world money without any thing of value behind it. What's going to compete against it?
