Modern Day Enslavement
Tuesday, June 14, 2011 at 7:19PM Watching people live in places like the US, Canada, UK, Australia and most of Europe is sometimes just hilarious to watch... I like to sit back on the beach in southern Mexico, having defected from Canada years ago, and ponder the absurdity sometimes.
Most are slaves and they don't even know it. Worse, they all support their own slavery and, in many ways, make themselves more into slaves every day... on purpose!
My personal favorite is when African Americans talk about slavery as though it is something that doesn't exist anymore.
"Many of my descendants were slaves," states the man stacking boxes in a warehouse 10 hours per day while getting to keep just enough of his income after federal, state, municipal, sales, property, gas, alcohol, cigarette and hundreds of other taxes that he can almost subsist - if his wife and kids also slave - sorry, work - 10 hours per day... before he returns home with one eye on the rear view mirror hoping to avoid being stopped by the Overseer... sorry, they call them Officers now, for not stopping completely at a four way stop or by going 5 miles per hour over the stated limits.
He probably bobs his head to this excellent KRS-One track oblivious to the lyrics that explain how he is just a modern slave.
The great majority of people in the west today actually exist as slaves - the only difference being that the governments of today have improved greatly over the centuries and realize that the slaves produce the most when they believe they are free and when they are given a few freedoms - such as choosing their own job.
After 12-16 years of Government indoctrination... sorry, education, the slaves even clammer for more enslavement.
When Californians were recently asked if they would like to be allowed the option of having access to one of the healthiest plants in the world, marijuana, they replied: No!
And even those who replied yes mainly replied yes because it would INCREASE the amount of money (taxes) that go to their slave owners. They want their slave owners to make MORE money!
Many who voted no stated that marijuana is far too dangerous to be allowed in the hands of the people - repeating what their state slaveowners tell them on their nightly news.
Yes, it's so dangerous!
To make matters even worse, the people are in favor of putting hundreds of thousands of users of victimless "crimes" like marijuana in cages every year!
The amount of waste is beyond reproach. It costs tens of thousands of dollars per year to keep someone in a cage - and all this does is increase the tax burden on the rest of the population... for nothing.
Perhaps to add insult to injury, even the people put in these cages are in many ways more free than those who pay for their incarceration.

Although I enjoy every issue of DV and read it everyday, this one was EXCELLENT. The vast majority of our society are slaves and too afraid to question things. When I started questioning things at work (a major financial institution here in Canada) that I thought were at least questionable if not totally wrong, I was starting to get spoken to. "What is this minion who is using his critical thought process to realize that we are totally immoral and corrupt?" I think I would rather be in prison...

Hey Amigo, I though you would enjoy the picture of this new prison and the comparison between prisoners and workers. It looks like a very modern building to imprison the average harden “criminal”, maybe it’s only for elite white collar criminals. A few lucky bankers and politicians will have a beautiful building to retire at when shit hits the fan and they have to blame someone for collapsing currencies and economies. In the olden days, if a banker stole money from the people, they would be lynched in public. Today, white collar criminals are given a fully paid for retirement including meals and medical in a beautiful building, while the average person will have nothing. Cheers.
Great article, and so very true. Most of the peoples of the world have been slaves for years, and never know it. OMG. I'm a slave. Only slight deviation from the comparison is my "cell" is 12 x 8 and my boss is nice. If only I had the money I've blown in the past 10 years I could escape. Since I can't at the moment, I'll plant some beautiful fruit trees on my back patio and find beauty where I can. And prepare the best I can to weather the storm.
