The Rumors of Mexico's Death Have Been Greatly Exaggerated
Friday, March 4, 2011 at 12:50PM I write to you today from the airport in Mexico City. I am on my way to Toronto - and while I look forward to meeting up with countless great business associates, old friends and hopefully discovering some great new opportunities in the gold, silver and uranium sector, I am definitely not looking forward to the cold, the almost sure-to-be extra screening by the gustapos and the litany of rules and regulations that Canadians seem to be so fond of.
Having spent the last 24 hours in Mexico City and already missing beautiful Acapulco I prepare myself for the drinks being poured, to the millimeter, with special government supplied drink dispensers, being told, at an unseemly 1:30am that it is "last call" at the bar/restaurant/lounge I will almost certainly be at and soon after sent off into the dark, cold Toronto night. I also am mentally preparing for strict speed limits, no jay-walking and all the conformity demanded by the citizens of the great white north. I also prepare to bite my tongue when, almost without doubt, some Canadian will bring up how Canada is so much better than any other country in the world and how "evil" the rest of the world is for not having "free" medical care like they do in Canada. Don't believe me, this interview with Canadian, Justin Beiber, is standard Canada-speak: http://www.rollingstone.com/music/news/justin-bieber-talks-sex-politics-music-and-puberty-in-new-rolling-stone-cover-story-20110216.
Here's just a snippet from the wise, Justin Beiber:
The Canadian-born Bieber never plans on becoming an American citizen. "You guys are evil," he jokes. "Canada's the best country in the world." He adds, "We go to the doctor and we don't need to worry about paying him, but here, your whole life, you're broke because of medical bills.
I'm only in Kanada for 3 nights, the absolute minimum - which friends and family know - is my trademark. How long are you here for? Only as long as I have to be!
Meanwhile, here in Mexico, I had a very satisfactory evening. I stayed at a very suitable, world class hotel, Hotel Nikko, in Polanco. I dined in a beautiful mall called Antara, which I highly recommend. It's an open air shopping center that has countless restaurants, shops, lounges and clubs. I briefly attended the disco there, called Ragga. Drinks are about $20 each... par for the course in most places in Polanco.
Every restaurant, lounge and bar I attended was packed. Grey Goose bottles (at $200-500 per bottle) on every table. Mexico's rico class is doing just fine.
Despite everything you hear in the mainstream media in the northern parts of North America, Mexico's stock exchange, La Bolsa de Valores, has gone up 500% in the last 3 years!

This is the main problem with getting your information, specifically your investment information, from the propaganda dispensed in the mainstream western media.
I had one lady approach me at the last conference I was at and said, "I don't know how you can live in Mexico! It's a failed state!"
I responded, "You say that like it's a bad thing!"
Yes, it's true the government doesn't play much of a role in people's lives here. That's why I live here. And that is probably a big reason why the Mexican stock market has outperformed every other stock exchange in the western world by leaps and bounds.
I especially love how the western media reports, confounded, that Mexican tourism is up. How could it be up, they ask, when we are reporting that the entire country is in civil war and you will be beheaded if you go there?
The answer is that millions of people, thanks to the internet, have other sources of information which are much more reliable.
Hillary Clinton has even realized this now. She has declared war on non-US government propaganda media! I'm not kidding. She even pointed out the two sources of media we pointed out as being excellent as being her latest enemy: Russia Today and Al Jazeera.
Will someone please have sex with this woman? It's obvious Bill isn't! She can't go two days without starting a new war!
Look for Al Jazeera and the Russia Today to soon be on the internet block list in the US.
Meanwhile, for both your personal and investment information, be very careful taking ANYTHING that western mainstream media says as face value. The internet is an amazing resource and people like us, The Dollar Vigilante, travel the world, giving on-the-ground reports of what is really going on.
We will be on the ground this month in Peru, Bolivia, Paraguay and northern Argentina scouting out expatriation and investment opportunities. As well, this summer, we have plans to spend much of July and August in Africa, where all the action currently is, to see what is really going on and report back to our subscribers on the opportunities and potential risks.

Mexicor is the highest rate of death country i have seen.News about drugs, it has shown us the emerging means of updates. FYI but the country needs help more than anything else.
The murder rate in the US is still higher than in Mexico... even despite the US Government disseminating 30,000 high powered weapons to drug gangs in Mexico to destablize it.
