Indonesians Get It

Dear fellow Dollar Vigilante,

We apologize for our distinct lack of postings to our blog this month.  We were enveloped in a complete redesign and transfer of our website over to a new hosting provider due to the overwhelming response The Dollar Vigilante has received to date!  As you may have noticed our new website is nicer and has much more functionality than the prior website.

As well, we are now hard at work preparing the September 1st issue of TDV.

But, in the meantime, I wanted to post this video.  It's a news story from Indonesian television talking about how many people are converting away from the Indonesian Rupiah to using gold & silver, in what they call Gold Dinars and Silver Dirhams.

In essence, these people in Indonesia are Rupiah Vigilantes!  And we support them wholeheartedly as they attempt to move away from a system of inflationary theft.

As you watch, note how many people in Indonesia are well aware of the scam of fiat currencies developed by governments and central banks.  Ask yourself, are the people in the country where you live so enlightened?  If the answer is no, don't worry, they soon will be as their currencies collapse.

That's all for tonight.

Regards,

Jeff Berwick

Chief Editor

Just found your great site.I agree, so it must be great.i have done many of the things you espouse.I live on Saltspring Island in BC, thats my Argentina, actually a bit closer to Elba but there you are.
I saw the reference to the Fraser Institute, and concluded you must be Canadian, and I know Ed Bugos by name.

I worked in the business for almost 40 years, and we had our own boutique firm on TSE for the last 15.
I am also a Stockhouse subscriber as it happens.

I am a staunch GATA person.

Thank you for your work here, Its a public service. You may remember the words of Morton Shulman in the early 80s, who said, "its very hard to talk sense to people in love with their dreams." But if you save a few Mr. Berwick, like I say , its a public service.
